PHILLY POUND CAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 c. sifted cake flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Combine softened cream cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla, mixing until well blended. Add eggs, mix at low speed on electric mixer until blended. Gradually add flour sifted with baking powder, mixing at low speed until blended.

Pour into greased and floured 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired. Can be served with fresh fruit, ice cream or sauces. Especially good with warm lemon sauce.
