"PHILLY" POUND CAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3/4 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 c. cake flour (or 1 3/4 c. flour)
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Combine softened cream cheese, butter, sugar and vanilla, mixing until well blended. Add eggs; mix at low speed on electric mixer until blended. Gradually add flour and baking powder, mixing at low speed until blended.

Pour into greased and floured 9x5 loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees 1 hour and 20 minutes. Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar if desired.
