GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
6 potatoes, boiled in skins, peeled and sliced 2 onions, sliced 6 slices bacon 3/4 c. vinegar 1/4 c. water 1/2 c. sugar Fry bacon, drain. Pour off all except 4 tablespoons bacon fat. Add vinegar, sugar, water to fat. Boil for 2 minutes. Placed sliced potatoes, onions and 4 slices bacon, crumbled, in a bowl. Pour boiling dressing over same. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly and top with remaining bacon. Serve hot or cold. |
