CREAM PIE FILLING 
3 c. milk
2/3 c. flour
3 egg yolks
1 c. sugar

For chocolate cream pie, add 3 tablespoons cocoa. For banana cream pie, add 2 bananas. For coconut cream pie, add 3/4 to 1 cup coconut. Cook all until boiling and thickens. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 2 tablespoons butter. Mix until smooth. Pour in prebaked pie shell. For meringue: Beat 3 egg whites and 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar till stiff. Beat in 1/3 cup sugar. When stiff, put on pie filling. Bake at 350 degrees until light brown. Yield: one 9 inch pie.
