FUDGE CREAM PIE FILLING 
1 1/3 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tall can evaporated milk
3 egg yolks, slightly beaten
3 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Chopped nuts, optional

In top of double boiler, combine sugar, flour and cocoa. Add milk. Cook until thickened. Add small amount of this hot mixture to egg yolks; mix well and return mixture to double boiler. Cook about 4 minutes longer. Add butter and vanilla. Remove from heat. Pour into baked 9 inch pie crust. Sprinkle on chopped nuts, if desired. Cover with meringue. Bake at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes.
