FUDGE - FILLED SQUARES | |
1 c. butter 1 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 egg 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 2 1/2 c. oats Beat together sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, salt and soda. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in oats. Press half of mixture into a 13x9 greased pan. FILLING: 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1 can Eagle Brand milk 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. coarsely chopped nuts Melt chocolate chips, Eagle Brand milk, butter and salt in pan on low heat until smooth. Stir in nuts and vanilla. Spread over mixture in pan; top with remaining base mixture and press lightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. |
