25 lb. raw cabbage 1 c. salt Cut cabbage. Stamp with salt in layers until it gets juicy. Fills a 5 pound crock. Cover with leaves. An old plate and rags tied over crock. Let set 6 weeks. Clean off top and cook 2 hours after it starts to boil. Jar! |
