PIKI (INDIAN BREAD) 
3 eggs
2 tsp. salt
4 c. of meal
3 c. milk

Mix ingredients together. Spoon onto a hot griddle. Makes 30 pieces. Good if served with butter.

This is absolutely NOT Piki. Not with milk and eggs in it. Piki is made with blue cornmeal, water, and ash, and is very liquid and spread with the fingers over a very hot stone that has been greased with brains. Spread super thin...in layers then lifted and folded in a special way.

Karla is right, the recipe for Hopi Piki bread consists of blue cornmeal, chamisa ash, cold water and hot water.. Not eggs and stuff.. lol.. I'm Hopi & I know. This makes me laugh!
