BASIC BARBECUED SPARERIBS | |
5 lb. spareribs 3/4 c. brown sugar 1 1/2 tbsp. dry mustard 2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. black pepper 1 tsp. ginger 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 c. orange juice 2 tbsp. minced onion 2 minced cloves garlic 3 tbsp. parsley 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce Prepare ribs as indicated above. In a bowl combine sauce. Let stand 15 minutes. Place boiled ribs on a deep platter. Brush with sauce on both sides. Let stand 2 hours. Remove ribs; pour sauce in a cup. Grease grill lightly or place ribs accordion-fashion on skewers. Cook according to timetable for barbecuing until done as desired. Brush frequently with sauce. Remove ribs to a platter. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Serves 6. |
