VENISON OR BEEF STEW 
2 lb. venison or beef, cubed
Garlic
Basil
1 tsp. sugar
Tenderizer
1 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 med. onion
2 tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
6 carrots, sliced
6 potatoes, cubed
1 pkg. onion soup mix
1 pkg. brown gravy mix
1 can peas, drained

Tenderize meat. Brown meat on all sides in 2 tablespoons oil. Add garlic and basil to taste, sugar, salt, pepper, onion, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, stir and add 3 cups water. Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours. Then add carrots and potatoes with onion soup mix. Mix gravy with water before adding to stew. Cover and cook 30 more minutes. Add 1 can of peas. Thicken with flour and water to taste. Very good!
