ORANGE SLICE CAKE 
1 c. butter (2 sticks)
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. chopped orange candy slices
1/2 c. dates
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
3 1/2 c. flour
1 c. coconut
2 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter and sugar; add well-beaten eggs one at a time. Dissolve soda in buttermilk and add alternately with flour to above mixture. Using part of the flour, roll the orange slices, dates, coconut and nuts. Bake at 325-350 degrees for 1 hour.

GLAZE:

2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. frozen orange juice

Cook both of above until dissolved. Pour over cake when done and cake is still hot. Let set in pan.
