2 eggs
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
4 c. diced, peeled apples
1 c. walnuts

Beat eggs, add sugar, oil and vanilla. Sift together next 5 ingredients, stir in apples and walnuts. Put in 13 x 9 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. Let cool in pan and then spread with frosting.

FROSTING:

1 pkg. (3 oz.) cream cheese
3 tsp. butter
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar

Mix until smooth.
