GERMAN APPLE CAKE WITH CREAM CHEESE FROSTING | |
4 c. peeled, sliced apples (5 med. or 3 lg.) 1 c. chopped walnuts 2-3 eggs 1 c. salad oil 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. baking soda 2 c. flour 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt Beat eggs and salad oil together. Add sugar and vanilla. Mix together with dry ingredients. Add nuts and apples. Bake in a 9 x 13 inch pan for 45-60 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool and frost. FROSTING: 6 oz. cream cheese 2 c. powdered sugar 3 tbsp. butter 1 tsp. vanilla Mix frosting ingredients until smooth. |
