CANNED APPLE PIE FILLING 
7 qts. apples
3 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 c. cornstarch
5 c. water

Mix sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, nutmeg and water together. Cook until thick. Pour this over apples and bring to a boil. Place in hot jars and seal. Boil 20 minutes in hot water bath. Use 1 quart per pie. Dot with butter and bake as any apple pie.
