SPICY APPLE TWISTS 
2 apples
1/2 c. sugar
1 can crescent rolls
2 tsp. cinnamon

Peel and core apples. Cut each into 8 wedges. Open crescent rolls and cut each triangle in half. Wrap the 16 apple wedges with the dough. Place in baking dish. Sprinkle with mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Dot with butter. Pour 3/4 cup water over apples. Bake at 400 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Serve with Lemon Sauce.

LEMON SAUCE:

1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 c. water
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Mix sugar, cornstarch, lemon rind and water in saucepan. Cook mixture (medium heat) until clear and thick. Remove from heat and stir in butter and lemon juice. Stir until butter is melted and serve over Spicy Apple Twists.
