SPICY APPLE TWISTS 
2 lg. apples, peeled and cored
1 can (of 8) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
2 tbsp. butter, melted
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. orange juice

Cut each apple into 8 pieces. Unroll crescent roll dough and separate into 8 triangles. Cut each in half lengthwise. Place on apple piece at the wide end of each strip and roll up. Arrange in 9 inch square pan. Drizzle with butter, then sprinkle with the mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Pour orange juice into pan but not over dumplings. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Serve warm, plain or with ice cream. Great for diabetics if you substitute Sweet 'N Low for the sugar.
