FEATHERY YELLOW CAKE 
2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
1 2/3 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk
2/3 c. Crisco
1 tsp. salt
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3 unbeaten eggs
1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Blend thoroughly the first 6 ingredients and beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Next, add the eggs, milk and vanilla. Beat 2 more minutes. Pour into greased cake pans.

Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes. Cake will bake higher if put at top of oven. After you take layers out, cover with tinfoil to hold in moisture while cooling. Don't leave in pans longer than 15 minutes.
