BREAD AND BUTTER PICKLES/RELISH 
8 c. sliced cucumbers
1 c. thinly sliced celery
1 green pepper, thinly sliced
1 lg. onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. celery seed
1 (3 3/4 oz.) jar pimento, chopped
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
2 c. sugar
1 c. white vinegar

Mix cucumbers, celery, green pepper, onion, pimento and salt in a large non-aluminum boil. Let stand 1 hour. Drain well.

Meanwhile, mix sugar, vinegar and seeds in medium saucepan. Heat to boil. Stir until sugar is dissolved (it will be clear). Cool. Pour over vegetables. Refrigerate, covered, until cold. Store in glass jars in refrigerator.
