SUNDAY FRENCH TOAST 
8 slices French bread, 3/4 inch thick
4 eggs
1 c. milk
2 tbsp. Grand Marnier or orange juice
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter
Confectioners' sugar

Arrange bread in single layer in 8x12x2 inch baking dish. Mix eggs, milk, liquor, sugar, vanilla, and salt. Pour over bread. Turn slices to coat evenly. Refrigerate overnight. Saute in butter until golden brown (about 4 minutes each side). Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
