ROUND STEAK ITALIANO 
1 1/2 lbs. round steak
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 (15 1/2 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce with mushrooms or the Ragu Italian cooking sauce
1 (16 oz.) can whole sm. onions, drained (optional)

Cut steak into 5 or 6 serving size pieces and place in a slow-cooking pot. Sprinkle with salt, oregano, and pepper. Cover meat with spaghetti sauce. Cover crock pot and cook 7 to 9 hours on low or until meat is tender. If onions are used, turn control to high; add onion. Cook on high 10-15 minutes. Makes 5 or 6 servings.

Variation: Cut meat in smaller pieces and pour meat and sauce over noodles.
