3/4 lb. lard (1 1/2 c.) 6 c. flour 2 c. sugar 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 4 eggs, beaten 4 tbsp. sour milk 2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla Mix lard, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt with mixer until like pie crust. Add remaining ingredients and mix completely. Put in refrigerator until cool. Roll thin and bake at 375 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes. Check often and only lightly brown, don't go by time. |
