MARTA'S HEARTY TURKEY AND
SAUSAGE SPAGHETTI

Warning: This meal is so thick and hearty that one bowl fills you up!

1 (16 oz.) box whole wheat pasta (I use Barilla)
1 (20 oz.) pkg. ground turkey (Jennie-O)
1/2 (14 oz.) rope pecan garlic smoked sausage, sliced (Holmes)
1 tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro
2 tbsp. chopped green onion
1/2 red onion, sliced
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. creole seasoning (Tony's or Zatarain's)
1 tsp. sea salt (or may use regular)
1 1/2 tbsp. coarsely ground black pepper
1 large tomato (seeds removed), diced
1 (24 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce (your favorite)
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)

Boil spaghetti pasta until cooked. Drain, then toss with the extra virgin olive oil to keep pasta from sticking.

Brown ground turkey and sliced sausage with cilantro, green onion, red onion, garlic powder, creole seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Brown until turkey fully cooked.

Drain, then add in diced tomato and cook for 2 minutes. Next, add in the spaghetti sauce, then the sugar. Use a large spoon to combine all ingredients together.

Enjoy this guilt free meal!
