SOFT SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. butter (real butter is best)
2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. baking powder and 1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
5 1/3 c. flour

Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add vanilla and nutmeg. Mix soda with sour cream. Mix baking powder with flour. Add flour and sour cream alternately with mixture. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Roll to about 3/8 to 1/4 inch, sprinkle with sugar. Place on cookie sheet and bake 8 minutes at 375 degrees. Do not overbake.
