GERMAN CHOCOLATE PIE (ICE BOX) 
1 bar German chocolate
1/2 c. hot water
3 egg yolks
1 can Eagle Brand milk
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt chocolate in double boiler. Add hot water and blend. Beat egg yolks with milk. Add to chocolate mixture. Cook until thick. Add salt and vanilla. Pour into cooked pie shell. Top with Cool Whip. Garnish with shaved chocolate.
