SHORTBREAD COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. sugar
2 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar. Work in flour. If dough is crumbly, mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of soft butter. Refrigerate 2 hours for easier handling. Shape cookies and bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned, about 15 minutes.
