2 1/2 c. unsifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 egg
1 (9 oz.) pkg. None Such Condensed Mincemeat, crumbled
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. In large mixer bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy; beat in egg. Stir in mincemeat and vanilla. Add flour mixture; mix well (dough will be stiff). Roll into 1 1/4" balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets; flatten slightly. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Frost if desired. Makes about 3 dozen.
