MELT IN YOUR MOUTH BLUEBERRY
CAKE
 
2 eggs, separated
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. blueberries, floured

Separate eggs, beat whites and add 1/2 cup of the sugar to them to keep stiff. Set aside. Cream shortening. Add salt and remaining sugar to this, add unbeaten egg yolks and beat until creamy. Sift flour and baking powder, add to creamed mixture altternately with milk. Fold in blueberries, fold in beaten egg whites and sugar. Well grease 8 x 8 pan. Sprinkle top with sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
