PIZZA BURGERS 
1 beaten egg
1 (8 oz.) can pizza sauce
1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. snipped parsley
1/4 tsp. dried oregano, crushed
1/4 tsp. fennel seed, crushed
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
2 lbs. ground beef
2 tbsp. chopped onion
2 tbsp. chopped pitted ripe olives
10 slices French bread, toasted & buttered
10 slices Mozzarella cheese
Lettuce
10 tomato slices

Combine egg and 1/2 cup of pizza sauce. Stir in crumbs, Parmesan, parsley, oregano, fennel, garlic salt and dash of pepper. Add beef; mix well. Divide into 10 equal portions. Shape meat into oval patties, 1/2 inch thick.

In a saucepan combine remaining pizza sauce, onion, olives and 1 tablespoon water. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes; stir occasionally. Grill burgers over medium coals about 7 minutes on each side. Brush with some pizza sauce the last 5 minutes. Top each bread slice with cheese, a burger, lettuce and tomato. Pass remaining sauce. Serves 10.
