CRUSTLESS APPLE PIE 
6 med. apples
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. water
6 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. flour

Peel and slice apples. Place in saucepan with sugar, cinnamon and water until apples are partially cooked (10 minutes). Then place apples and juice in deep greased 9 inch pie pan. Mix butter, brown sugar, flour, baking powder and salt with pastry blender until into fine crumbs. Sprinkle over apples in pie pan. Bake 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, cheese or plain.
