CHOCOLATE CHIPPERS 
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 sticks butter (1 c.)
2/3 c. sugar
2/3 c. brown sugar, packed
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. With mixer on high speed, beat butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in the vanilla. Reduce mixer speed to low; add flour mixture. Mix until well blended. Using a spoon, stir in chips and nuts. For giant cookies, drop 1/4 cup batter onto greased cookie sheets, spreading dough to 3 inch circles. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, until cookies are golden. Cool on pan for 5 minutes; remove with spatula and cool on wire racks. Makes 20 giant cookies.
