TEXAS COCONUT CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
1 c. sweet milk
2 c. (plain) flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. coconut flavoring
1/2 tsp. salt
5 eggs

Cream together sugar and Crisco. Add eggs. Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Add milk alternately with flour. Add flavoring and fold in 1 can angel flake coconut. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees in tube pan which has been greased and floured.

GLAZE FOR CAKE:

1/2 c. sugar
2/3 c. water
1 tsp. coconut flavoring

Boil sugar and water together for 2 minutes. Add flavoring and pour over cake while hot.
