SAVORY GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE 
1 qt. canned green beans or frozen beans, cooked until tender
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped parsley
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. sour cream
2 tbsp. vinegar
Bits of cooked bacon

Drain beans and reserve liquid (about 1 cup). Saute onion and parsley in butter until soft but not brown. Add flour; blend well. Add bean liquid, sugar and vinegar, stirring constantly. Add sour cream, then beans and cook slowly until heated thoroughly. Place in hot serving dish and garnish with bacon.
