SOUTH CAROLINA PEACH COBBLER | |
5-6 c. fresh, sliced peaches 1 c. water 2 c. sugar 1 c. self rising flour 1 egg 1 stick butter 1. Cook peaches, water and 1 cup sugar until soft and syrupy. 2. Spread peach mixture in bottom of 9"x13" baking dish. 3. In small bowl, mix flour and 1 cup sugar with a fork. 4. Mix in egg. 5. Sprinkle this mixture over peaches. 6. Cut up stick of butter over top of flour mixture. 7. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. 8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Serves 10 to 15. |
