KIELBASA CABBAGE SOUP 
1 medium onion, chopped
4 to 6 cloves garlic, minced
4 c. water
1 to 2 tbsp. brown sugar
4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 tsp. caraway seeds
1 small cabbage, coarsely chopped
2 tbsp. olive or vegetable oil
3 tbsp. cider vinegar
1 lb. fully cooked kielbasa, cut in 1/2-inch pieces
3 large carrots, chopped

Sauté cabbage, onion and garlic in oil for 5 minutes or until tender. Combine water, vinegar and brown sugar. Add to cabbage. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 60 to 70 minutes or until vegetables are tender.

Makes 8 to 10 servings.
