BROWNIES 
1 lb. fat, melted
2 lbs. sugar
12 eggs, beaten
12 oz. cake flour
8 oz. cocoa
4 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. salt
12 oz. nuts, chopped
4 tbsp. vanilla

Mix fat, sugar, and beaten eggs. Mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Add to fat/sugar mixture. Add nuts and vanilla. Spread mixture 1/2 inch thick in oiled pan, 12x20 inches. Bake 25 to 30 minutes at 325 degrees. Should be soft when done. NOTE: 3 squares chocolate may be substituted for the cocoa. Yield: 4 dozen (2 x 2 1/2 inch) brownies.
