BARBECUED SPARERIBS 
3 to 4 lbs. ribs, cut in pieces (I use Country Spareribs)
1 lemon
1 lg. onion
1 c. catsup
1/3 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
2 dashes Tabasco sauce
2 c. water

Place ribs in shallow roasting pan, meaty side up. On each piece place a slice of unpeeled lemon, a thin slice of onion. Roast in hot oven (450 degrees) for 30 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients; bring to boiling and pour over ribs. Continue baking in moderate oven (350 degrees) until tender, about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Baste ribs with the sauce every 15 minutes. If sauce gets too thick, add more water. Serves 4.
