CHOCOLATE COCONUT MACAROONS 
2 squares (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate, melted
4 cups packed shredded coconut
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup chopped pecans (opt.)

Mix melted unsweetened chocolate with sweetened condensed milk; add shredded coconut and mix thoroughly. Stir in vanilla. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto well greased baking sheet, 1-inch apart.

Bake in a moderate oven, 350°F, for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from pan.

Yield: approximately 3 1/2 dozen, depending on size.
