TOMATO PRESERVES | |
5 lbs. red ripe tomatoes 5 lbs. sugar Juice from 1 lemon Drop tomatoes into hot water and remove right away, they will skin much easier. Skin tomatoes and cut up. Add sugar and lemon juice. Simmer slowly about 45 minutes or 1 hour. Pour into jars and seal at once. Makes 4 pints. |
