CANADIAN PORK PIE 
2 lb. lean pork shoulder
6 med. onions, chopped fine
2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. allspice
2 lb. ground beef
5 tsp. salt
2 tsp. pepper
3 tsp. poultry seasoning
3 c. water
4 c. mashed potatoes

Grind pork and beef once separately, then together. Put all ingredients except potato together and simmer for about 3 hours on low heat. When cooked, skim all grease from top. Add 4 cups mashed potatoes and beat well to blend in mixture. Let stand overnight. Fills 6 (2 crust) pies. Use extra rich crust for best results.
