MACARONI PIE 
3/4 c. macaroni
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
3 tbsp. butter
Sharp cheddar cheese

Combine first 5 ingredients, cook until all water is absorbed and macaroni is tender. Stir to prevent sticking while cooking. Grease a casserole dish, place a layer of macaroni, then a layer of chopped or sliced cheese. Repeat the layers ending with cheese. Beat egg, combine with milk; pour over macaroni mixture. Top with butter. Bake in 400 degree oven until pie has thickened. Do not over cook.
