NEVER FAIL DUMPLINGS | |
1 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 3 tbsp. shortening 1 egg, beaten 5 tbsp. water Cut shortening into flour and salt. Beat egg and water together and add flour to form a ball. Roll out very thin and cut into squares (2 inches). Drop into boiling chicken broth. Cook until done, being careful not to break dumplings when stirring. You may need to double this recipe. |
