NEVER FAIL DUMPLINGS 
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tbsp. shortening
1 egg, beaten
5 tbsp. water

Mix above ingredients into a soft dough. Divide into 2 parts. Roll thin; let dry 15-20 minutes. Cut and drop into boiling broth. Let cook 15 minutes or until done.
