BANANA SPLIT DESSERT 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. softened butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. chopped nuts
2 egg whites
1/2 c. softened butter
2 c. powdered sugar
15-16 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained
3 bananas
9 oz. frozen whipped topping
Chocolate syrup; optional
Cherries for garnish; optional

Blend flour, 1/2 cup butter, brown sugar, and nuts. Press in 9 x 13 pan and bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes, not longer. Cool completely.

Beat egg whites, powdered sugar, and 1/2 cup butter until fluffy. Spread evenly over layer 1.

Spread drained pineapple over layer 2. Slice bananas neatly over pineapple. Spread whipped topping over bananas. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and garnish with cherries if desired. Chill well before serving.
