BANANA WALNUT BREAD | |
1/2 c. butter 2 eggs, beaten 1 c. sugar 1 c. mashed bananas 1 c. whole wheat flour 1 c. all purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1/3 c. hot water 1/2 c. chopped nuts Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt butter. Blend in sugar. Add beaten eggs and banana blending until smooth. Sift white flour, measure, sift again with whole wheat flour, salt and baking soda. Add dry ingredients alternating with hot water. Stir in nuts. Grease pans and pour into 9 x 5 inch pan or 2 small loaf pans. Bake 1 hour or until pick comes out clean. Cool in pans for 5 minutes, remove and cool on wire rack. |
