SWEET POTATO BISCUITS | |
2 c. flour 4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. solid vegetable shortening 1 c. canned sweet potatoes, mashed 1/4 c. milk Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut in shortening. Blend with sweet potatoes. Add enough milk to make soft dough. Knead gently on lightly floured surface. Roll to 3/4 inc thickness, cut dough with 2 inch cutter into squares or round. |
