6 c. thinly sliced onions
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. shredded cheese
4 strips crisp bacon

Melt butter in saucepan. Blend in flour. Gradually add milk, stirring until thickened. Add salt and cheese. Pour over onions in casserole dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Crumble bacon on top to serve. Serves 6.
