CHICKEN OR TURKEY STUFFING
1/3 cup minced onions
1/2 cup chopped celery
6 tbsp. butter
1 carrot, minced
1 shallot, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons fresh parsley
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1 egg
1/2 cup water or chicken broth
8 slices toasted bread, cubed
1 1/2 tsp. Bell's Seasoning
dash of pepper
1/4 tsp. salt

Cube white bread and sprinkle lightly with garlic powder, onion powder and paprika. Toast on a cookie sheet with 1 tablespoon of butter until lightly browned and aromatic.

In a saucepan, saute vegetables, shallot and garlic in butter (adding garlic last so as not to brown).

When onions are slightly browned along edges, add broth. Pour mixture over toasted bread crumbs and toss to mix with 1 beaten egg. Add Bell's Seasoning, salt and pepper.

Transfer mixture to a loaf pan which has been lined with foil.

Bake, covered with foil, at 375°F for 45-60 minutes, uncovering during final 15 minutes.

What is "Bell's Seasoning"? I've never heard of it.

Amy, its a seasoning you'll find at any supermarket. Normally it is in a small yellow box with a drawing of a turkey on front. Ask someone in the store if you can't find it. It is very good!
