PEAR - PINEAPPLE BUTTER 
4 c. grated pears (8 to 10 med. size pears)
2 c. sugar
2 (3 inch) pieces cinnamon
1 (16 oz.) can crushed pineapple

Combine pears, sugar and cinnamon in saucepan and boil 5 minutes, uncovered, stirring often. Add pineapple and boil 20 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Fill clean, hot caning jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space. Close jars. Process 15 minutes in boiling water bath. Makes 2 1/2 pints.
