| MARIE CALLENDAR'S HOT BACON DRESSING | |

3 tbsp. cornstarch 1 tbsp. soy sauce 3 tbsp. wine vinegar 1/3 c. water 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 1/4 c. pineapple juice Combine ingredients in a saucepan and simmer until thick, stirring frequently. Serve warm over salad greens and sprinkle with bacon bits, chopped green onions and chopped red and green pepper. | |

This did not taste like the hot bacon dressing from Marie Calendars... no bacon in the dressing just on top??? How can you call it hot bacon dressing? I had to add other ingredients including bacon to give it the taste of Marie Calendars. Very disappointed.

Marie Calendars doesn't make hot bacon dressing any more. I guess it's because it's not very good for you. But I know somebody who worked there while it was available and she told me the recipe. Basically it's leftover bacon grease, vinegar, sugar and a bit of corn starch for thickening.
