MEATBALLS 
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1 c. bread crumbs
1 med. onion, chopped
1 tsp. oregano
2 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, minced
About 1/2 c. raisins

SAUCE:

3 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
1 sm. can tomato paste
2 qts. water

Mix garlic, salt, beef, egg, bread crumbs, onion, oregano and Parmesan cheese and form into 1 inch balls. Put 2 or 3 raisins in each ball. Fry in skillet until brown. Drain and set aside. Mix sauce, paste and water. Cook slow on low heat for 2 1/2 hours. Add meatballs and cook on low for about 1 more hour. Add 2 tablespoons cheese to sauce. Season to taste. Serve over spaghetti.
